Overview
The OMT operates the door at elevated speeds compared to standard commercial operators — reducing the time the door is open and minimizing heat or cold loss per cycle. It is designed for loading docks with high vehicle frequency, cold storage facilities, and any application where a standard-speed operator creates operational bottlenecks. How the Jackshaft Design Works
A jackshaft mounts to the wall beside the door opening rather than on a trolley track overhead. The motor drives the torsion bar directly through a side-drive mechanism. This frees up the full ceiling height above the door opening — useful in tight dock areas where overhead trolley systems would conflict with racking or sprinkler lines. The OMT inherits this form factor while adding the speed programming that standard Manaras jackshafts do not carry.

Installation and Compatibility
The OMT installs on commercial sectional doors typically between 8 and 14 feet high. It requires a properly balanced door — a door that is out of spring balance will hit speed limits on the way up and create excessive brake wear on the way down. Our standard process is to check and set door balance before commissioning any high-speed operator. Most installs take four to six hours including wiring, limit setting, and speed tuning.
